Correction to Picks reward distribution [18/08/26]
We previously said that the existing 50/30/20 division split would remain. This was incorrect: those figures carried over from the previous Picks model and do not apply to the new ‘beat the average’ model. We’re sorry for any confusion.
The pool will now be split evenly between the three rewarded divisions:
🏆 Elite: 33.34%
💎 Diamond: 33.33%
🥇 Gold: 33.33%
This structure will apply from the current tournament.
Why the split is different
The previous 50/30/20 split applied to a very different Picks reward system. Picks represented 10% of tournament rewards, and payouts depended on owning players in your lineup who also finished among the tournament’s top performers.
Under the new model, Picks has increased to 30% of the overall tournament reward pool, with managers qualifying directly by beating their division average. Applying the previous split to this much larger pool would have increased Elite’s allocation from 5% to 15% of all tournament rewards.
With the new even split, Gold, Diamond and Elite will each receive 10% of the overall tournament pool. This increases the total Picks rewards available to every rewarded division compared with the previous system.
Why progression still matters
Even division pools do not mean equal individual reward opportunities. Higher divisions contain far fewer managers, so the same-sized reward pool is shared across a much smaller competitive field.
Individual payouts will depend on beating the division average and the value held in each qualifying lineup, but progressing through the divisions - and ultimately reaching Elite - continues to offer substantially greater potential rewards.
There will also be no division reset so all managers will pick up from where they left off after the World Cup, with promotion and relegation operating as normal from the start.
This is the confirmed structure for the new Picks rewards but, as always, we’ll monitor how the system performs over time. Good luck for your first Picks!
