NFL tiebreakers and edge cases
Injury cover
NFL players get ruled out often, and sometimes close to kickoff. Injury cover means a player being unavailable does not simply cost you a zero.
If a player you hold does not play, and a cover player has been assigned, that cover player scores for you in that game instead.
Cover is assigned by us, per player, per game. You do not choose it, and you do not need to do anything to activate it.
Status pills
The app shows a status pill next to any player whose availability is in doubt. Tap or hover it for the full explanation.

Did not play
A player marked DNP does not take up a slot in your 40-player tournament cap. Holding players who end up not playing will not squeeze out players who do.
Releasing during a tournament
If you release shares in a player who is already in a live tournament, your reward-eligible share count for that player drops to whatever you have left. Signing back does not restore it. The count only ever moves down during a tournament, so releasing and re-signing to chase a price leaves you worse off for rewards than if you had held.
Once a tournament reaches its reward cutoff, releasing no longer affects that tournament.
Tie-breaking
- Players are ranked by their exact score first.
- If two players have the exact same score, the average of their last 5 scores decides it, which rewards better overall form.
- If two players somehow have the same score and the same form, the tie is broken by an internal ID, which is effectively arbitrary.
