Getting started: Football (Free to Play)

This article applies to the Free to Play version of the game

Open the Free to Play app at app.sport.fun and hit 'Get Started', and create your Sport.fun account using your email address or social login or wallet.
If you sign up on mobile, the first screen will tell you how to install the app on your phone (see How do I install the Sport.fun on my phone? for more information).
A short tutorial will introduce the game.
You'll be asked to turn on push notifications so you don't miss out on key alerts.
And you're in! You'll now be asked to set your Picks for your first tournament.

To get you used to the game, you'll be asked to set your first Picks for the upcoming tournament.

You can choose any eligible players from the game, as long as you stay within the 100 point salary cap and there are no more than two players from the same team.
You'll be prompted to set a Captain - they earn 1.5x points.
You can swap in and out of players at any time before they enter the pitch.
When the tournament ends, you'll receive a Gold reward so you can begin to build your squad for real.

Use your Gold to buy players from the market and build your first squad.
Your squad can earn Gold through eligible tournament performances and by beating other managers in Picks
You can use Gold to sign more player shares and strengthen your squad.
