Getting started: Football (Pro)
This article applies to the Pro version of the football game where you can build a squad, compete in weekly tournaments, and earn rewards from real player performances.
Pro is the real-stakes version of Football, available in supported regions. You play with Gold backed 1:1 by USDC on Base: deposit USDC to fund your in-game wallet, sign and release shares with Gold, earn Tournament Points (TP) from tournaments, and spend TP on Player Packs.
Set up your account
- Open the Pro app, hit 'Get Started', and create your Sport.fun account using your email address, social login or wallet.
- If you sign up on mobile, the first screen will tell you how to install the app on your phone (see How do I install Sport.fun on my phone for more information).
- A short tutorial will introduce the game.
- You'll be asked to turn on push notifications so you don't miss out on key alerts.
- And you're in! Pro doesn't set up a squad for you or prompt a deposit during onboarding. It takes you straight into the app, where you can deposit and build your squad whenever you're ready.
What happens next
- You'll need Gold to buy your first squad - Gold is backed 1:1 by USDC on Base.
- Your squad can earn Tournament Points (TP) through eligible tournament performances.
- You can use TP to open Player Packs to strengthen your squad. Picks provide an additional competition based on the lineup and Captain you choose.
