How are Picks rewards calculated?

Beat your division average to qualify for a Picks reward. Your share of the reward pool is based on the value you field in your lineup and your finishing position in your division.

Beat the average to qualify

  • Your Picks score is compared with the average score in your division.
  • If you beat the division average, you qualify for a share of the Picks reward pool. You don’t need to finish in a particular percentage of your division to qualify.

Not all divisions have rewards in Pro - you'll need to be in Gold, Diamond or Elite division to compete for rewards

The value of your Picks and where you finish determines your reward weight

  • Once you qualify, your reward share is based on two things:
    • Your fielded Picks value × Performance multiplier = Reward weight
    • Your Picks value is the combined value of the five players you have fielded in your Picks lineup, after any concentration adjustment (see below).
  • Your performance multiplier rewards higher finishes:

Finish

Performance multiplier

Top 1%

Top 5%

Top 10%

Top 25%

All other qualifying managers

For example, if your Picks value is $2,000 and you finish in the Top 5%, your reward weight is: 2,000 × 4 = 8,000

Reward weight isn't the same as TP/Gold. It's used to determine how much of your division's Picks reward pool you receive.

Your reward weight determines your share of the pool

  • Your reward weight is compared with the combined reward weight of everyone in your division who qualified.
  • For example, imagine:
    • Your reward weight is 8,000
    • The combined reward weight of all qualifying managers is 100,000
    • Your division's Picks reward pool is 500,000 TP
  • You account for 8% of the qualifying reward weight, so you receive:
  • 8% × 500,000 TP = 40,000 TP
  • Managers who don't beat the division average don't receive a Picks reward and aren't included in this calculation.

TP is the reward given in Pro. In Free to Play, the calculation is the same but the reward is given in Gold.

What happens if most of my value is in one player?

  • To prevent a single player from accounting for almost all of your reward weight, a concentration adjustment applies when one Pick represents more than 40% of your total fielded Picks value.
  • Value up to 40% counts in full. Any value above 40% still counts, but at 25% of its value.
  • Your excess value isn't removed — it simply has less influence on your Picks reward.

When is my Picks value calculated?

  • A snapshot of player prices is taken at the start of the tournament.
  • The number of shares you own is recorded when each of your Picks enters the pitch. Your Picks value is calculated using those shares and the locked tournament-start price.
  • If you sell shares after a player has entered the pitch, the number of shares counted towards your Picks value can decrease.

The start date for the tournament is shown on the Live screen - in some cases it may not be the same as the date of the first fixture
