When do Football tournaments run?
Tournament scheduling
There are usually two tournaments each week:
- Weekend tournament: covers matches played from Friday to Monday, with rewards distributed on Tuesday.
- Midweek tournament: covers matches played from Tuesday to Thursday, with rewards distributed on Saturday.
We keep this cadence wherever possible so you know which fixtures belong to each tournament and when to expect your rewards.
Tournaments cover the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1, as well as the Champions League, Europa League and selected international competitions such as the Nations League, European Championship and World Cup.
What happens if a player plays twice during a tournament?
We try to avoid double gameweeks by setting tournament windows so that each player plays no more than once.
Where a player does play more than once during the same tournament, only their highest match score counts towards their tournament position.
When might the normal tournament schedule change?
We keep the usual weekend and midweek windows where there are at least 20 eligible players, including at least two goalkeepers.
Where the available player pool is smaller, we use the following rules:
- We only consider changing the tournament window where there are fewer than 20 eligible players, fewer than two goalkeepers, or no eligible players in one of the outfield positions.
- We only change the window if doing so meaningfully increases the eligible player pool without extending the tournament beyond eight days.
- If a different window would introduce a large number of double games or make little practical difference, we keep the normal cadence and use free Picks and loans instead.
Any change to the usual tournament dates will be visible in the app and communicated at least 2 weeks in advance.
